What you need:
1 can of cinnamon rolls
small round cookie cutter
oil for frying
extra frosting (optional)
I originally saw this recipe on Pinterest, but made with biscuits. So I thought, why not cinnamon rolls!? I had just bought some at the grocery store, so I gave it a try!
First: Pull apart all the cinnamon rolls
Next: Make donut holes! I used a little do-hicky that is used for removing apple cores, it worked out well.
**Make sure that the cinnamon rolls are intact otherwise they will come apart in the fryer!**
Then: You drop them in your fryer or frying pan with oil. I used about 1/2 a cup of oil for the size of my pan. I'm sure it will vary. The donuts will float, as soon as they are golden brown flip them! Do not walk away, because they cook quick!
**Don't throw out those donut holes! They are really cute treats!**
Once your done: Let them cool on a paper towel to soak up any excess oil. Once these awesome treats are cool frost them up! I used the frosting that came with the cinnamon roll can, but I ended up adding more of my own butter cream frosting.
I originally wasn't going to post these, but after I ate them I just had to share!
Have a Great Day!
