Halloween Re-cap

My daughter the creepy doll :) I did Justice's Doll Face Makeup.
As you all know, Hurricane Sandy hit the East Coast hard. It severely effected the Jersey Shore. Since it hit so close to Halloween, they moved all our trick-or-treating to this last Monday, which was November 5th. Things are slowly getting cleaned up here, but it is going to take a long time for the shore to recover. Anyway, for Halloween, communities that were hit pretty hard had trunk-or-treat. This was to keep everyone safe for trick-or-treating. If you didn't have a home or safe neighborhood you could take your car, decorate it and give out candy from your trunk at either the local churches or schools. I thought that was really cool. We were lucky enough to have neighborhoods to go to. Surprisingly there were a lot of trick-or-treaters out! I'm sure it felt great for everyone to take a minute and do something "normal", and smile. We got lots of candy, and had lots of fun. It was well worth the wait.

Family Portrait: My wife as "Fred", Creepy Doll Girl, Me as " Ethel", and my son Death.
Someone was very enthusiastic about Halloween. They had loud music and a 10 ft meowing black cat!
Me and my wiener dog "weenie"...no joke..his Ty tag said weenie. Want to pet my weenie? haha

So there is our Halloween for 2012, that almost didn't happen. I was to dress up and put smiles on a lot of people's faces. You can imagine how silly me and my wife were. We stayed in character all night, with strong Jersey accents and bickering like an old married couple.....it was fun!

  5. Looks like such a fun Halloween. I wish my husband liked to dress up, but he doesn't, which is too bad because Halloween is one of my favorite special days of the year! I am thinking good thoughts for those who were hit hard by the hurricane.....-Jessica L
