Cupcake Sunday

I hope you all have been having an awesome weekend! The weather has been beautiful here and we have finally finished unpacking! And besides cupcakes and all the moving stuff I have been talking about, I also wanted to share something else. Awhile ago my wife made this apron for me. It's my cupcake apron! So at least it goes with today's theme. She is quite the seamstress, but this was her first apron. I absolutely love it! I posted about it once before, but the lighting was horrible in the picture. Anyway, I love it so much, that I'm scared to wear it when I actually bake. I didn't show it in the picture but it ties around my neck and in the back.

Also, I was testing the space in my room to see if it would be okay for outfit shoots. I used 2 different camera's and found that in one position it cut part of my head off, and in these pictures I have no feet! I feel like it was an epic fail, what do you think? I also tried different lighting. A couple came out okay. But I'm not sure if I love this spot in front of my bookshelf.

I left my hair wispy...never again! I love my curls too much

Every time I look at the above picture it just makes me laugh! I almost have a startled look, and it cracks me up. I made an example of a tacky photo setting. When I was going through my pictures I realized that the bookshelf was a little distracting and I didn't like my TV showing up either, so I'm going to see where else I can do indoor shoots. I've taken photography and I know when pictures aren't as good as they could be. It drives me nuts! Oh, well....back to the drawing board!

  6. Good luck with your indoor photo background! If you come up with something you'll have to share you tips! After trying a couple times and the photos looking like the ones you shared, I figured it was better done outside...

  8. I think I told you last time my dying affection for cupcakes. Oh, my weakness. So you can imagine how much in love I am with your apron!! I want one, now too! And it looks just like the pie dress that ModCloth was recently selling - that is sold out now of course because there are so many of us dessert loving gals. I wish we had gotten our checks in time cause I'd have certainly picked up that dress!
Anywho, I actually didn't get quite distracted with your first picture up there. But I'm the same way, I feel like there's no spot in my apartment good enough for outfit photos. The lighting is horrible in my open spaced kitchen and the only decent spot that I always resort to is near my front door...near my dvd shelf haha Hey, you do what you can with what you've got and if you can't make it outside in times of light, then your blog friends will suck it up for in-house photos. :) I know I'm perfectly fine with it.
