This is our newest family member! She goes by a couple different names but mostly Cupcake. Cupcake is 6 weeks old and was born on Apr. 18th. Her mommy and daddy live on a farm down the road, where she was born in a barn, that was filled with cows. Her favorite thing to do is get curled up in my hair and fall asleep. She loves to play! she has her dew claws and my son says it's for plying video games. She basically spends all day melting our hearts.

Hello, Hello Kitty!
Okay, I haven't blogged for a couple days and it feels like forever!!! Trust me I have a couple valid excuses and you will see in tomorrow's blog, one of them. Anyway, a while back I mentioned that I joined a huge blogger swap. It was a lot of fun too! When I received my package I freaked out!! Natasha at Don't think or judge, just listen got it right! Even though I'm in my 30's, little Eeka shines through....and anything pink & Hello Kitty wins my heart! This totally made my day, especially since my family and I are going through some really hard financial times.
Of course when my daughter saw everything she immediately thought it was for her...and then went on about how she wishes she was older so she could buy cool stuff. I love this plaque...so adorable!
These greeting cards are amazing too! She picked out the perfect set for me...and I love that they are blank inside! I love to send and receive cards and postcards. Hopefully I can get a post together soon of all the cards and post cards I received in the last few months.
This design is my favorite. I love trees and blossoms especially pink ones.
This little box set is really sweet. I don't want to open it! I collect HK items and I probably will keep this in it's mint condition.
Thank you Natasha!!
For my package I sent a vintage Teddy Bear (mint condition and 30 yrs old),an Owl Necklace, and a crocheted headband with a greeting card. I know it wasn't much, but I wasn't expecting to get laid off when I signed up to Swap,I did my best. I hope Leila at Confection enjoyed her package.

Blanks & Photo Via: the little things we do
1. The best surprise ever would be, a surprise cruise!!! I am dying to go on another cruise and that would just make me so excited. I wouldn't know what to do with myself .
2. The first night after having each one my kids, and hugging my wife for the first time are my most favorite memories .
3. The hardest, but most worthwhile thing I've ever done was going to college, after becoming a mom and working full time. You would think I would say being a parent, but adding college student to that title is even more difficult. Getting an education has always been important to me and my kids see that, and that right there makes it all worth it.
4. The best part of my day is when I first wake up in the morning and Jes is snuggled up with me. It's the best feeling, knowing that someone loves you so much, even in their sleep.
5. Something I like that most people don't is seaweed, I can't get enough of it, especially dried Korean seaweed, my favorite !
6. Something I am willing to fight for is my marriage & my kids. I don't think I need to elaborate on that.
7. Something you might not know about me is that I'm a beauty school drop out . I have my reasons .
I hope everyone had a great week...now on to the weekend!

High School Eeka (16) Eeka 15 years later (31)
I can't believe how much time has passed! You have two awesome kids that drive you crazy, but you love them with all your heart. Your daughter even has blonde hair and blue eyes! Crazy right? Yes your nickname stayed with you, mom stills calls you Eeka. I know this is going to sound crazy but when you turned 27 you moved to the East Coast! To Vermont, I know you have no idea where that is, but it's in New England, which is by New York State. You have gone through a lot in these past 15 years. You realized you were gay, but don't worry it's okay, no one you love hates you for it. Your still Best friends with Jamie! Going on about 23 years now! You talk almost everyday, but she lives in Vegas. She also has a baby and is married. Never saw that coming, did you? Your still obsessed with Hello Kitty and actually fight over Hello Kitty stuff with your daughter. She loves everything you love and it's really cute. I have to tell you how proud I am of us. You know how your a pretty reckless teenager, well your about to realize how important it is to not be so reckless anymore. All the attention you were hoping to get from your parents is not coming, and you have to do what is right for you. Your journey is a difficult one and you lose a lot of your friends. Not because your a bad person, but because someone you thought you loved, is going to be the best and worst decision you ever made. I have to go, but I'll write more next week.

My funny photo:
Me with too much Hello Kitty stuff!
1. What's your favorite style for home decor? (eclectic, modern, shabby chic, etc.)
I like my house to feel cozy, kinda like my grandma's house. So everything I have is retro and in warm colors.
2. What is the best trip you have EVER been on?
My honeymoon Cruise!!! I so need to go on another Cruise soon!
3. If you could have an exotic pet, what would it be and why?
I would love a little Madagascar Mouse Lemur! They are so cute and smart!
4. Do you snore? (you can be honest, we're all friends here.)
Yes!! All the time...lol,and I sound like an old man.
5. Your car breaks down on the side of the road, what do you do?
I call my wife, if she's not with me. Then I call Triple A.
6. What's one item that has been on your wishlist lately?
A new car!! Both of our cars have been a pain lately and have required a lot of maintenance. I would love to able to go buy a new one!
7. It's almost Summer (or winter if you live in the Southern Hemisphere), what are you looking forward to most?
Well, I have school all Summer, but I can't wait to go camping again and spending more time with family. This picture is actually from last weekend and it's in my yard.

Mirror mirror on the wall.......
Alright, I know, mirror shot. Not the most professional, but I don't care. I'm not a professional model, with lighting and photographers ever ready, so I use mirrors sometimes. Plus I think their funny. It's hard to pose and make sure your not making a stupid face. Anyway, this top is one of my favorites!
I bought it from Hot Topic a long time ago. It's my go to top when I'm trying to lose weight because it helps hide a little. My in-laws let me borrow their P90x, so we will see what happens. I need to lose about 23 pounds to be at a healthy weight...and that's my goal. I want to be healthy, not skinny.
If your wondering, I took these pictures in my bathroom. You can't tell in the picture, but my bathroom is pretty antique looking with it's baby blue accents and old wood. I love it!
Same day..started out hair down...humidity hit...and hair went up. I'm also using my old Nikon Coolpix again. the battery is rechargeable and its low maintenance and easy to take me with me everywhere. It can fit into the pocket of that Roxy jacket I'm wearing, which I bought last year on my honeymoon cruise. I can't believe our 1 year anniversary is in 2 weeks!
Well I hope you enjoy my totally un-professional pictures!

I can't believe it's Monday all over again. The weekend was so much fun, especially since we had family here. My wife's Grandma bought us a kick-ass new grill and it's awesome! My father-in-law built us a fire pit for bonfires and everyone else helped out in the yard and cut wood. It feels like we are camping everyday. It's been so beautiful too. The weather has been really amazing.
The sad part is that everyone left this morning. I hate goodbyes.....see ya later...is much easier.
I miss them already. I wish we had family closer to us, because we don't really have anyone to share the grill and bonfire with. Anyway here are some cute blue things that helped me cheer up a little :)
I love this dress, but they were sold out :( geez I feel like such a Debbie downer, but isn't it cute?!

These little guys are super sweet! I love wearing silly earrings! It always gets people attention and I get a lot of compliments too! I'm stretching my ear lobes right now, so my ears have been pretty plain.

I love these dolls! They are Goodbye Monday Blue dolls, but the Etsy shop seems to be gone now?
Oh well they are still adorable :)
Well, my friends I hope you all have a wonderful day....all I know is that my allergies are kicking my butt!

I wasn't sure (at first) where I wanted to go with this. I love looking up unique ideas for these wonderful treats. There is so much inspiration out there. after playing around on the internet I thought I would just Google Extreme Cupcakes and me! oh my! Did I find exactly that! Some I'm not going post, because I like to keep a clean look for my blog. I'm a mommy and my kids look at my blog. Here are some cupcakes that I thought were very creative and time consuming!
Maggot Cupcakes for a horror film
Via: The Extraordinary Art of Cake
When I saw these cupcakes I had to read the blog and find out what they were really for. When I saw they were a horror film, I was like whew! I also saw some cupcakes that had brains and a finger coming out of them. Totally icky...but that chocolaty cupcake still looks yummy!
Spaghetti & Meatball cupcake?
Via: That's nerdalicious
The spaghetti looks way to real and I don't know if I could actually enjoy the cupcake. I made some nacho cupcakes a while ago (you can find them HERE) and it's hard to enjoy them when they look like the actual food your trying to imitate. You think your eating something salty and its sweet instead!
TV Dinner Cupcakes
Via: The Canadian Living crazy Cakes contest
This TV dinner cupcake ensemble is adorable! When I have some time I'm totally going to try to make these! I can't believe how real everything looks, especially the mash potatoes :)
Crafty Vegan Cupcakes
Via: Vegan Yum Yum
These cupcakes aren't too weird, but the details are awesome! Some like me would love these as a surprise! I personally would have gone with a different color frosting to bring out the colors better, but either way they are still very cute.
I hope everyone has had an awesome weekend!
Enjoy the Sun!

The Tacky Kitty Sweater
I had no idea until I started taking these pictures that my candle holder closely resembled the kitty on my sweater!
Of course this sweater is thrifted, and in my love for cute tacky things, I practically squealed when I found it! I know this sweater probably belonged to someone's Me-Ma (Grandma) but I had to have it. Every time I look at it I think of Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory and start singing soft kitty in my head.
The more I watch that show, the more I realize that me and Penny have too much in common...I love that show! Anyway, I hope Everyone has had a great week and I can't believe the weekend is already here! My In-Laws & Jes's Mom-mom & her husband Hobie will be here today and I'm so happy! I love when people come visit :)

There are a lot of things that I am in love with right now.
One thing for sure is that I'm still obsessed with my iPhone...though in our current situation, I'm afraid I might be giving it up soon. Until then, I will continue to take pretty pictures!
The app Camera+ is one of my favorite editing tools. The picture above was edited with it. I used the toy camera option with a fade. That way it looks like an old over-exposed picture.
This tree that is growing in our front yard is amazing. In fact there are trees growing around each other. Hopefully when it's sunny out again I can get a better picture. I adore this tree and it makes me smile every time I pull up our driveway.
I love mo-hawks! I also love that my wife is as random as me. She just got up and went to the bathroom and came out with a mo-hawk. You can't tell from the picture, but it goes all the back, and I love it!
I made this hat the other night. It took about 2 hours, only because I was watching TV while I was making it. It's my first hat...lol and of course I make it when summer is right around the corner!
I guess it will have to wait for fall.
This little guy is Oscar. He's my little house Octopus and moves to different locations quite frequently. I didn't use a pattern, in fact I was going to make a flower, but wasn't paying attention, and he was born!
He isn't perfect, but we love him :)
Since we both haven't been working we have had PJ and ice cream night much more frequently than usual.
Under all those pink sprinkles (which are suppose to only be for my cupcakes!) is chocolate chip ice cream, and those PJ's have little yellow duckies...I love them!
These cute little flowers make me smile everyday. My wife and kids all got me flowers for Easter and they are all still alive!!! I'm very proud of myself for keeping my plants alive.
Well, today is sunny and beautiful and we have to get some cleaning done because we have family coming to visit this weekend....and I'm so excited!
Have a great Day!
